Saul Rivera-Ramirez, who had been previously deported, was charged with vehicular homicide and driving without a license.

Saul Rivera-Ramirez was arrested by Allegheny County Police after striking 23-year-old Christian Sluka with a car, killing Sluka at the scene.

Rivera-Ramirez has been confirmed to be in the United States illegally by local police, who have notified Immigration and Customs Enforcement of his arrest. It was confirmed by ICE that Rivera-Ramirez was previously deported.

Sluka was stopped at a red light in the Dormont suburb of Pittsburgh when he was struck by Rivera-Ramirez. According to reports, the illegal immigrant fled the scene. Rivera-Ramirez is being charged with “homicide by vehicle and driving without a license.”

Christian Sluka is being remembered by friends and family as “a lovely young man, a talented musician, and a good friend.” A GoFundMe has been established to help the Sluka family pay for the funeral.

In a timely yet unrelated post on Truth Social on Tuesday morning, former President Donald Trump said Pennsylvania has been affected by “reckless” migration to cities like Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, warning that a win this fall by Vice President Kamala Harris will result in “illegal immigrants from all over the world” coming to Pennsylvania.

Rivera-Ramirez, being in the country illegally, did not have a drivers’ license. Last year, pro-illegal immigrant activists lobbied the Pennsylvania legislature to allow illegal immigrants to obtain divers’ licenses.

The death of Christian Sluka is just one of several high-profile vehicle-related homicides related to illegal immigrants. St. Louis Police Officer David Lee was killed by an illegal immigrant who was driving under the influence and struck Lee while the officer was responding to a previous accident.
