The DCCC has spent up to $340,000 targeting the congressmen. The spending comes as part of a broader effort to digitally target Republican congressmen across the county.
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) has started putting cash behind digital ads targeting Pennsylvania congressmen. Notably, most of the funds have been targeted towards Republican Representatives Brian Fitzpatrick (R-01) and Rob Bresnahan (R-08).
Recent analysis has revealed that the DCCC has spent up to $340,000 targeting the pair with digital ads on Facebook and Instagram since the start of this year.
Research from the University of Pennsylvania’s Program on Opinion Research and Election Studies shows that, since the start of 2025, digital political advertisers have collectively spent about $2,000,000 on targeted social media ads in the 35 Republican held districts being targeted by the DCCC this cycle.
Since May 11th, analysis shows that nearly $26,000 in digital ad space has been purchased in PA-08. Representative Bresnahan’s district is tied for the second-highest total in the country.
Representative Fitzpatrick is sitting at fifth place with between $62,000 and $160,000 being spent on digital ads in his district.
The highest spending in Fitzpatrick’s district comes from Americans For Prosperity, Planned Parenthood Action, and American Energy Action.
The DCCC is also targeting Representatives Ryan Mackenzie (R-07) and Scott Perry (R-10).
In Mackenzie’s district, Americans For Prosperity, Planned Parenthood Action, and American Energy Action are also spending the highest amounts.
In Perry’s district, AIPAC, Protect Our Jobs, House Freedom Action, and Better PA Roads and Bridges have purchased the most digital ad space.
Between May 11th and 18th, top spenders Planned Parenthood Action, and the Healthcare Education Project spent approximately $97,000 and $42,000 respectively on digital ads.
Analysis shows that approximately $6,320,000 has been spent on Facebook and Instagram ads by 399 political advertisers ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.
