In a fiery speech this week, Delaware County police officer Chris Eiserman lashed out at current Senator Bob Casey (D), tying the three-term incumbent to the radical anti-police group Indivisible Philadelphia, which has repeatedly called for defunding police across Pennsylvania.

The union chief also pointed out Casey’s support of District Attorney Larry Krasner (D) of Philadelphia, under whose watch violent crime, such as carjackings, has hit new records

According to Eiserman, Casey “thinks that we [the police] are the problem, not the violent criminals making Pennsylvania less safe.” He pointed to Casey’s past statements implying there is systemic racism and police brutality across Pennsylvania, such as his message while in Latrobe, PA in June 2020.

According to US Census data, the racial makeup of Latrobe is 98.78% White and 0.32% African American.

While criticizing Casey, the FOP Lodge 27 president also announced his endorsement of Republican Dave McCormick for November’s election. McCormick responded to the accusations against Casey, saying, “Pennsylvanians deserve a leader in Washington who will fight for our men and women in blue — not turn their backs on them.”

Crime and public safety are critical concerns for Pennsylvanians, and the upcoming elections will test the candidates on their plans for a safer Commonwealth and nation.
