More than 2,500 events are planned across all 50 states.

“No Kings” protests have been scheduled across the United States for Saturday, October 18th. Organizers expect millions to be in attendance.

More than 2,500 events have been planned across all 50 states.

The first “No Kings” rally took place on June 14th in response to the military parade planned to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army and President Trump’s 79th birthday.

“Together, millions will send a clear and unmistakable message: we are a nation of equals, and our country will not be ruled by fear or force,” said organizers in a statement

In response to the planned protests, the White House issued a statement. Spokesperson Abigail Jackson said, “The Trump Administration is focused on stopping the scourge of left-wing violence plaguing American communities. Left-wing protestors can beclown themselves by lawfully protesting the alternate reality they live in, but violence or breaking the law will not be tolerated.”

Republican leadership, including Speaker Mike Johnson, Majority Whip Tom Emmer, and Majority Leader Steve Scalise referred to the protest as “a hate America rally.”

Speaker Johnson said the protests were being planned by “the pro-Hamas wing and the Antifa people.” He criticized House Democrats, saying, “It’s being told to us that they won’t be able to reopen the government until after that rally because they can’t face their rabid base.”

Protest organizers responded by saying “Speaker Johnson is running out of excuses for keeping the government shut down.”

“Instead of reopening the government, preserving affordable healthcare, or lowering costs for working families, he’s attacking millions of Americans who are peacefully coming together to say that America belongs to its people, not to kings,” organizers said.

Across central Pennsylvania, protests are scheduled to occur in Harrisburg, Carlisle, Hershey, Lebanon, Manheim, Lancaster, York, Gettysburg, and Waynesboro.

More protests are scheduled in Wilkes-Barre, Scranton, Tunkhannock, Montrose, Bloomsburg, Williamsport, Pottsville, Sunbury, and Lehighton.

Larger “No Kings” protests will be held in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh on October 18th.
