The Tesla CEO aims to rally support for the First and Second Amendments in Pennsylvania.
Elon Musk is making headlines this week as he ramps up efforts to garner support for a petition advocating for the First and Second Amendments. With a focus on swing states, Musk is offering financial incentives for individuals to encourage registered voters to sign the petition. Initially, Musk offered $47 to participants in these pivotal states, but he quickly raised the amount to $100.
In a post on his platform X, Musk announced, “If you’re a registered Pennsylvania voter, you & whoever referred you will now get $100 for signing our petition in support of free speech & right to bear arms. Earn money for supporting something you already believe in!” This financial backing underscores Musk’s commitment to mobilizing support for fundamental rights at a time when such freedoms are under scrutiny.
The petition emphasizes its dedication to the Constitution, specifically highlighting the importance of free speech and the right to bear arms. Musk’s initiative aims to collect signatures from 1 million registered voters in swing states, rallying them to affirm their support for these essential liberties.
The offer is time-sensitive, valid until midnight on Monday, October 21, and is specifically available to voters in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, and North Carolina.
Additional terms clarify that each participant can only sign the petition once, and each voter may only refer one other eligible person. Before any payments are processed, America PAC will verify the information provided by both the referrer and the petition signer. Notably, if a referrer’s earnings exceed $600, they must submit a signed IRS W-9 for tax purposes. To participate, both the referrer and the signer must be registered voters in the specified states.
