Mail ballots are returning to county election offices across the Commonwealth.
Of the approximately 1.8 million voters that requested a mail in ballot, more than 1 million voters have returned their ballots to county election offices just two weeks before the November 5th election.
The Pennsylvania Department of State ballot report indicates that as of Wednesday, approximately 62% of these ballots were cast by registered Democrats, while approximately 29% were cast by Republicans.
The Philadelphia area is currently in the lead for mail ballots returned, with approximately 26% of all ballots returned in the state coming from the area. Montgomery County has returned 99,666 ballots as of Wednesday. Bucks County voters have returned 71,785 ballots. Allegheny county has returned 155,533 ballots and Erie County has returned 16,548 ballots.
Of the more than 1.8 million mail ballots requested as of October 22nd, more than 1 million were requested by registered Democrats. Republicans accounted for more than 560,000 requested ballots, while voters from other parties requested 228,000.
Nearly 9% of all voters in the state have returned a mail-in ballot as of Wednesday.
